This year’s special event will feature over 50
exhibitors offering a host of earth day activities and
environmental awareness information for children and
adults. Enjoy Scottish bagpipers and dancers, Frank
Helling performing as John Muir, nature walks with a
ranger, tours of the John Muir historic home, silent
auction, recycled fashion show and guest speakers.
Admission to the park is free; food and beverages will

Acalanes Ridge Trail Building Weekend |

Friday, May 20 through
Sunday, May 22
Find out just how rewarding building a trail can be! We
will hold a three-day event to build trails on Acalanes
Ridge, with the help of Volunteers for Outdoor
California (V-O-Cal). Sign up for just one day, or bring
your camping gear and spend some fun time camping Friday
and Saturday nights with fellow volunteers. We bring the
tools, you bring the person-power. Breakfast and lunch
provided, and a delicious dinner awaits those who camp
overnight.

much - anticipated annual gala will again be an elegant
evening under the stars in the pear orchards of John
Muir’s Victorian estate. We will all look forward to
very special guests, celebratory wines, a delicious
dinner, and lively auctions.

Fernandez Ranch is Open! |

This magnificent property was opened to the public on
June 5, 2010.
Purchased in 2005, 702-acre Fernandez Ranch has
undergone a major restoration project. Highlights
include a new staging area, picnic areas, 156 ft. clear
span bridge, large-scale creek restoration, more than
10,000 native plants and trees, 3.5 miles of multi-use
trails including sections accessible to people with
disabilities and an important new segment of the Bay
Area Ridge Trail. The property has only previously been
available for docent-led tours, but is now open to the
public from dawn to dusk.
All trail users are invited – hikers, bikers and
equestrians. Dogs are also welcome at Fernandez Ranch.
